The free-to-play cooperative first-person shooter Codename CURE II has launched a playable demo on Steam today, giving players their first hands-on look at the game’s core mechanics and co-op gameplay. Alongside the demo release, developer Raptor Byte has announced a publishing partnership with indie.io.

The Codename CURE II demo includes a guided tutorial level and access to the game’s primary gameplay loop, including online co-op multiplayer. Players can take on procedurally generated missions built from a single mission tileset, offering replayable encounters that change with each run. While weapon and cosmetic unlocks are restricted in the demo and clearly marked as available in the full game, the demo is designed to accurately represent how the game plays.

The demo experience is intended to introduce players to the fundamentals of combat, class-based roles, mission structure, and progression systems. Two enemy types planned for the full release are not included in the demo. Progress made through scrap collection and ranking systems will carry over into the full game, with limits applied to demo progression.

Codename CURE II is a follow-up to the original Codename CURE, rebuilding the experience with modern tools and expanded systems while focusing on cooperative gameplay, replayability, and mission-driven action.

In addition to the demo launch, Raptor Byte has partnered with indie.io to support the game’s upcoming release. Indie.io will work with the development team on publishing, operations, and launch support as Codename CURE II continues toward its full release.

The free Codename CURE II demo is available now on Steam.
