June 17, 2025 — A new chapter begins for Polylithic as a free demo launches today, offering players their first hands-on experience with this atmospheric third-person survival game set in the Paleolithic and Neolithic eras. Already available in Early Access, Polylithic transports players to a time before civilization, when humanity was just beginning to shape its place in the world.

The demo introduces players to the core systems of the full game, allowing them to gather resources, craft tools, explore a low-poly prehistoric world, and survive as a lone hunter-gatherer. As they advance through the early tech tree, they’ll glimpse the potential to grow beyond simple survival—building permanent settlements, managing a tribe, and guiding their people into the Neolithic age. Whether choosing to lead others or live in isolation, every decision shapes the future.

In Polylithic, humans are not yet apex predators. They are one of many species struggling to survive in a harsh, untamed world. Players begin their journey as members of a nomadic Paleolithic group, collecting the essential resources needed to endure, while unlocking the first technologies that would eventually set humanity apart. With enough progress, the player can guide their tribe into a settled lifestyle, constructing permanent villages and taking on the responsibility of leading and caring for others.

As a tribe leader, players will assign tasks, manage needs, and help their people grow into Elders—experienced members who form the backbone of early civilization. Or, they may choose a solitary path, testing their individual survival skills against the wild. Across lush forests, snowy ridges, and roaring rivers, a vibrant low-poly world awaits discovery—one filled with animals to hunt, mysteries to uncover, and ancient monuments left behind by those who came before.

Polylithic is available now in Early Access on Steam, and the new demo is available starting today, June 17.
